Intrepid Museum

                                                 The Intrepid    

          The Intrepid is a battle ship that served in World War II. It had carried many airplanes. The Blackbird is one of the names of the airplanes that they carried. It is also one of the kill streaks in COD Black Ops. It was used from 1966 to 1998        

                                         Hangar Deck          

          The hangar deck was used for storing all the ships that could not be stored up top. The deck was needed because it stored ships and was where the workers mainly lived and worked. It was very important to the workers. And was hard for them to get the airplanes to the top to fly them.

                                                  What I Learned

          The ships were stored anywhere that they could fit them. The Intrepid is a massive ship and held many planes. The workers had to  sleep in close quarters and had really small lockers that only could store a few important things.

          This youtuber is pretty much starting out. He has a few videos posted and they are really good. His videos are child friendly with no bad language. He does various gametypes and adventure maps. Right now he has a series about being a head admin. He only has a few subs but deserves a lot more.
             Now here are some additional things. He uses quicktime which can't pause as far as I know. Some of his recordings are laggy. But because of optifine it is better. He has a let's play he gives the ip adresses to servers. And he plays skyblock with subscribers. So if you ever want to play skyblock go subscribe to him.             

               

The Debate

          The long awaited debate is finally here who do you think will win?

                                    Xbox 720

          The Xbox 720 has a ton of new features such as a new controller and a better kinect. There also may be siri! Now lets look at the downside there is a rumor that it has to have internet connection in order for it to work. It's price is rumored to be cheaper. Which is how the Xbox 360 was so popular.

                                 PlayStation 4

          The PlayStation 4 also has a new controller. It will be cheaper than it was. The reason why there were less sales was because of how expensive the PlayStation 3 was. More benefits are that there is a pro charging system for the new controller. Some of the downsides are it may only have digital games and no more discs. Some people might think of this as better though.

Spleef

                     Spleef? What's That?

          Your probably thinking what in the world is spleef? It is another minecraft gametype. It goes by really fast if there is a lot of people or in general. The object of the game is to dig a hole and get players out by having them jump into the hole. This helps with your parkour skills by having to avoid the holes that you and other people make.
          If you play with a friend you will probably never be able to find them in the chaos. Spleef is usual done in survival but can also be done in creative. If in survival you need a shovel because usually the blocks are snow blocks. I usually avoid trying to break blocks and just run around. Sometimes I might try and knock them off. Spleef is a really hard gametype to master but really fun.

         
         

Survival Games

                               Survival Games

              As I've mentioned in one of my previous blog posts survival games is a game in Minecraft. It is like the hunger games where you are forced in a arena to fight but with chests and no hosts in some games. You can form alliances but that doesn't mean they can't betray you. Be careful who you team with or just don't team with anyone. Make sure you know them or know there friendly before teaming.

                                How To Win (Tips)

               This doesn't always work but its helpful. Have back up if you need help. Try to get a sword out of the starter chests and kill people before they can get other stuff. If you can't get a sword try to get armor instead. I usually team with people and they think they're strong enough to betray me they're not. Good luck and may the odds ever be in your favor.

Pets

                                          Pets

               You know about the ordinary pets (for us) the dog, cat, and hamster. But for other people there not ordinary to them ordinary is a pig or duck or something. But they are all still pets. You have to take care of them feed them play with them. If you give them to much attention and never let them do anything then they will ignore you. To little attention you might find them dead it is the sad truth. Pets need just the right amount of attention.
               Another thing about pets curb them please. It is annoying to go jogging an find a surprise on your shoe once your done. (To me) it would even more disgusting to step in a pig's poop. If you are a pet owner and don't curb them I highly encourage you to do so. Also if you want to have a pet be ready for the unexpected and cherish your pets because one day they might not be there. Pets are amazing domesticated animals and also a great responsibility.

Hunger Games

                        Hunger Games

          The Hunger Games trilogy is probably my favorite series and I think they will all make great movies. I can only assume though but based on the first movie they should all be good. But I just don't like how Catching Fire is going to come out 2013. My favorite book would probably be Catching Fire because there was sort of a twist to it. I think the song Girl On Fire will be in Catching Fire since Katniss is the girl on fire. But like I said it's going to come out next year so I could only assume. The Mocking Jay was also really good but it was probably my least favorite. What I liked about it was the last sentence and the twist. All of the books had at least on twist some major others minor.

           I think that the people who made the movie did a very good job. I didn't find many differences but one of them was how she got the Mocking Jay pin. I can't wait till the Catching Fire movie comes put but that would mean the series is almost done. Movies based off of books are hard to make because you have to show there feelings because there is no narrator. Movies must be really hard to make but people do amazing jobs. if you haven't read the books or watched the movies I would suggest to go read the books and watch the movie. 

Halo 4

                                Halo 4

            Halo 4 is an action and a somewhat of a strategic game. In the previous versions of Halo you had to fight the Covenant. You still to but you also face another threat the Prometheans. In my opinion you should still have to fight the Prometheans but not the Covenant. Because in Halo 3 the war already ended and there was peace. But it's okay because now Master Chief isn't the only Spartan. The new Spartans aren't that generically advanced as before but even though they aren't as advanced they are still Spartans. Matchmaking is what I love to play test out your skills along with other players. My favorite game type is still SWAT like in Halo Reach. I'm glad that they kept it because that's one of the main things I play in Halo.

                             More Detail

            Now that you know some stuff about the game now we can get into specifics. The most annoying (for me) of the Prometheans is the knight once you think you are going to kill them they teleport. Also as I said before I love SWAT I talked about it before but now it's different. There are new loadouts and weapons well only the battlerifle was added. Which is the new loadout nothing that special. Also armor lock is no more it was to overpowered. Now instead there is hardlight shield it lets you be invincible only in the front of you. The new Halo 4 is better than the rest of Halos because it is less overpowered then it used to be.

Thanksgiving

                        Thanksgiving

The original Thanksgiving is nothing like now there was no turkeys, mashed, or pumpkin pie as it says in the video. But they didn't mind no turkey they ate something else deer I personally think I like turkey better but who knows I never tried deer. Sara Josepha Hale an American writer she published recipes for pumpkin pie, turkey, stuffing and more. Which eventually became what we would call modern Thanksgiving. If it weren't for her we wouldn't really have a Thanksgiving. People kept changing the dates for thanksgiving tell they announced that its not going to be on a certain date but the fourth Thursday of November.
         My Thanksgivings are pretty much like this. We have huge meals, socialize, and like I said eat. I eat turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn we don't eat cranberry sauce like some people do. For dessert I don't eat pumpkin pie but cheesecakes and cupcakes. We host it a different place every year some years my house others my friends' houses. It's weird to think of how Thanksgiving started it feels like its been celebrated forever but no it hasn't. It's also only celebrated in the US.

            It has been a few weeks since the dreaded Hurricane Sandy. Even though it is over people are still struggling kids watched their parents die because of it. They couldn't do anything about it this is the sad reality. I only lost power some people lost their lives Sandy hurt us as a community. We have to help you can donate money or help at a soup kitchen whatever you can do just try and help. Most people are just sitting and enjoying their day some people are starving out there in need of help.
            I know that schools everywhere are raising awareness of Hurricane Sandy and are doing there best to help out. They are donating food for people who need it. But they can't do everything by themselves we have to help. If you know anyone who is suffering help out do anything you can do to help. I'm not saying to donate everything you have even just a dollar would be good. Not even just money you can donate food. Now you have two choices forget about what you read and leave it alone or help your choice.

Music

            As you should know this is a gaming blog but it is called gaming and more. There are many games to blog about but not many I'm not too interested to do a blog about gaming. I also do love music about as much as gaming maybe even more. I love to use YouTube to listen to music even though itunes is a great the songs will eventually get old. But with YouTube you can search up songs and if you go to top rated or most viewed you may find a song you really like. I find alot of songs I like by doing this. I like any type of music and listen to alot of people. I know that one of the most popular song is Gangnam Style I love that song.

                       Popular Bands and Singers

                  There are many bands out there but there is one very popular one One Direction. Everyone seems to love them I like them too but I don't listen to all of there songs only there popular ones. Another band I really like is Maroon 5 I love most of there songs like one more night and payphone. Some individual singers are Drake, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, and MANY more. Some songs I like are The Motto, Not Afraid, Look at me Now, and alot more. I mainly like some old songs because they remind me of a long time ago and its nice to remember back then. There are alot of songs out there and you might learn to like some of them.

Minecraft

                                  Why?

             I have always wondered why Minecraft is made up of blocks. If you want to place down other shapes you would have to download mods. A lot of people will disagree with this but I think there should be an option for different shapes. Minecraft is still a great game but it needs variations of shapes. Minecraft can be played online with friends and there are multiple blocks such as stairs and half slabs which adds variety but I think it can be improved still. My favorite thing in Minecraft is fighting but you have to build a house and prepare first so it takes long. Or you can just punch them to death but using tools would be easier. You should get Minecraft still and the reasons why are listed below.

                    Why you should still get it

            It is a great game were you can build, explore, destroy, and fight. You can have countless resources you can say you have infinite. On the other hand you could be stranded on an island with one tree keeping you alive by giving you apples and saplings to plant for more wood. If you were to describe that in a few words it would be your about dead. There are survival games were you can destroy blocks and can only get supplies in chests sprinkled around the map or break leaves for apples. You should really get the game either on xbox or pc. On pc it is more expensive but further ahead in updates and a bigger world. On xbox it is less expensive but smaller worlds and you start out with a map. 

Halo Reach

                                            Basics

                   Halo Reach is a game were people fight each other in different gametypes. You would normally have two weapons unless you play a gametype that only has one. In matchmaking (online) the most played gametype is Infection. In this gametype if your a human you have a shotgun and magnum if your a zombie then you start with an enery sword. For the game to end the zombies must infect all humans or time ends and humans win. There is also custom games were you and your friends can only play and you can change the rules for the games. Forge mode is were you can create maps and gametypes. The last one firefight is when you fight enemies for a certain amount of time and rounds or unlimited time and rounds.

                                      What I Think

                  I think that matchmaking is the best gamemode. Because you can play online with friends and test out how good you are. Even though infection is the most played my favorite is team swat. In team swat if you shoot to the head its an instant kill. You have two weapons a dmr (designated marksmen rifle) and magnum. My favorite weapon out of the two is the dmr. Also in team swat you win by getting fifty points if time runs out the team with the most points wins. If you like building go to forge world it is hard to build and im bad at it but it is fun.

Black Ops Zombies

                                           Basics

             You have a pistol and a zombie apocalypse has began what do you do? Fight. Stack up on points by killing zombies or rebuilding barriers earn better weapons by spending points. Earn different perks after a certain number of rounds the more rounds you survive the better perks. Most people start of by using only their pistol or knifing. The first round is really easy about ten zombies only. The higher number round you are at the more knifes it would take to kill a zombie (First round one, second two, third three, etc.). Save up your points to open doors for more space to run but be warned that means more zombies.

                                                               

                                       Survival

               The first five rounds are easy but they build up and become harder as they progress. You can choose if you want a better gun or stick with your pistol and knifing. The zombies are really slow the first few rounds but they get faster during new rounds. Even when they are headless they can still walk a little and attack. So if you get a headshot still keep shooting. You can play with friends and survive longer. Or play alone which most people do and say it is easier but i don't believe them personally. I myself am terrible at zombies because I spend my time in other gametypes. But it is still a very awesome gamemode and lots of people enjoy it.

MInecraft

                                      Basics of Minecraft

                Minecraft is a block building game in which you can build anything. If you have creativity then this is an amazing game for you. You can either go in creative for unlimited resources and flying. Their are different difficulties in minecraft for xbox easy, normal, hard, and peaceful. On the pc version there is easy, normal, hard, peaceful, adventure, and creative. On peaceful you have to gather resources same in the rest of the difficuties except for creative mode and I am not sure about adventure mode. Since I play the xbox version. The xbox version also does not have creative mode but I know about that one.

                                                        

                                     Survival and Creative

                 In survival you can either live in peace on peaceful or have to survive on another difficulty. In this you have to gather resources and survive through the night. At night time hostile creatures will spawn and attack you if it sees you. In the overworld some mobs are creepers, skeletons, zombies, spiders, and slimes. There are also peaceful mobs like sheep, wolves (If not provoked), pigs, cows, and chickens. In the nether some hostile creatures are ghasts, pigmen, blazes, and magma cubes. In creative mode you can build with literally an unlimited source of blocks. You can still fight but you will be invincible. Some servers hosts survival games (The Hunger Games but Minecraft version.) players can team up and fight each other or fight alone.

Black Ops Combat Training

                          Are you Black Ops or Spetsnaz? Are you a loner or stick with laying combat training a pack? You can decide when playing combat training. Choose your difficulty. You can select your difficulty recruit, regular, hard, and veteran. Choose your weapon and classes from various selections. There are perks that help you hack equipment and other stuff like that.

                                         What I think and Tips
                          Nuketown is the best map for combat training. It's not to big or small. There are many places to camp. You can ambush people from high up. Or make it fair by going head to head and risk your life but have a slight chance of survival. Buy map packs for more places to battle. Get killstreaks by killing other people. I think the best killstreak is the dogs. The chopper gunner is good too i guess. What game should i do next? Should i continue Black Ops, do Minecraft, or a different games.
